Woodland Herbivore Impact Assessment Method
This method is used to assess and monitor the effects of large herbivores (such as cattle, sheep, deer, goats, pigs, and horses) on existing woodlands or areas with the potential to develop into woodland. The approach is observational and qualitative, focusing on expert field judgments rather than quantitative measurements. It provides valuable insights into herbivore pressure and habitat condition, helping inform sustainable land and wildlife management strategies.
